Dayanthan was one of the lucky ones who survived the war wounds according to his mother. He can watch television and enjoys watching others play games. He spends his days confined to the rattan chair which sits in the front yard. The right side of his skull was wounded by shell shrapnel. You don’t need a stethoscope to know his heart beat, the right side of the skull-less skinned area beats like his little heart. They have to be careful of his wound when he is lying down. He is paralyzed down one side and cannot walk or sit-up.
